In 2023, British TV audiences had their screens heat up with the thriller series The Couple Next Door, which has only recently made it across the pond, making US audiences curious about where to watch it online. Based on the Dutch series, Nieuwe Buren, The Couple Next Door boasts a phenomenal cast led by Sam Heughhan, Eleanor Tomlinson, Alfred Enoch, and Jessica De Gouw. In the series, married couple Evie and Pete (Tomlinson and Enoch) move to a picturesque suburban neighborhood where they strike up a friendship with their next-door neighbors Danny and Becka (Heughan and De Gouw).
However, Evie and Pete's relationship is put to the test when she and Danny share a night of passion together, and the consequences threaten to be deadly. The Couple Next Door premiered on November 27, 2023, on Channel 4 in the UK, with season 1 comprising of six episodes. Though critics weren't kind to The Couple Next Door, giving it 38% on Rotten Tomatoes, it clearly struck a chord with audiences. Though it took over a year to make its way stateside, The Couple Next Door is officially available to watch on Starz in the United States. It premiered on the streaming service on January 17, 2025, with new episodes dropping weekly through February 21, after which the entire show will be available for binging in its entirety.

However, the sophomore installment will feature almost an entirely new cast, save for Alan the creepy neighbor (Hugh Dennis). The Couple Next Door season 2 centers on wealthy married couple Charlotte (Annabel Scholey) and Jacob (Sam Palladio) who find their colleague Mia (Aggy K. Adams) moving in next door. Of course, nothing but steamy trouble arises from there (via Collider).
In November 2024, filming for The Couple Next Door season 2 was confirmed to be underway in Belgium. While there is no current release date set for the follow-up, audiences can tide themselves over with The Couple Next Door season 1 on Starz.
