The Boys: All 11 Supes In Homelander's Army Ranked By Power

Following the end of The Boysseason 4, there looks to be quite a few powerful supes that have joined Homelander’s army. After carefully plotting with Sister Sage for a whole season, Homelander finally made it to the White House, using his influence to control the President. One of his first acts was bringing together a group of characters that will form the main part of Homelander’s supe army in The Boysseason 5.

The Boys season 4 finale teased various characters targeting Butcher and his group as they attempt to escape Homelander’s newfound government powers. From original members of The Seven to returning villains to rising supes seen in the Gen V spinoff, there is a range of characters set up as antagonists for the upcoming The Boys season 5, and each of them brings something different to the team. So here is a ranking of the 11 known supes in Homelander’s army based on how powerful they have proven themselves to be.

11 Ashley Barrett

Homelander’s Assistant

Since Homelander’s takeover, Ashley has become increasingly scared for her life due to how much incriminating information she has on the supes and her vulnerable human state. However, this changes at the end of season 4, as she breaks into Homelander’s room and steals some Compound V, meaning Ashley will return as a supe in The Boys season 5. Having been on Homelander’s kill list, Ashley’s decision to take Compound V may have saved her life; if Ashley’s power is useful enough, Homelander may spare the assistant and have her join his army.

As Ashley’s power has yet to be revealed, it is unknown how powerful she will be in season 5. However, because she will now be on a more equal footing with Homelander after spending so long under his heel, the usually frantic Ashley may find her courage which could make her a force to be reckoned with. Yet, as her power level has not been disclosed, she currently ranks at the bottom of Homelander’s army.

10 Love Sausage

The Strangest Henchman

Love Sausage has one of the most bizarre powers in The Boys, as the supe wields a giant penis that functions a bit like a tentacle. Interestingly, Love Sausage does not have the same ability in The Boys comic as the TV show, as his main ability in the comics was his superhuman physique, and his namesake did not have any special powers. While Love Sausage’s TV show power is often played off as a joke, this comic change does make him more powerful.

Love Sausage was last seen in The Boys season 4 ending scene, where he used his enhanced penis to apprehend Mother’s Milk.

Most supes gain some level of durability alongside their powers, so it makes sense that Love Sausage needed an extra ability. His large tentacle-like penis offers comedic value to the show, but it is also an incredibly useful (if somewhat disgusting) tool and the supe is able to take out people such as MM. Therefore, while not necessarily one of the most powerful supes in Homelander’s army, Love Sausage is definitely not the weakest.

9 The Deep

The Loyal Supporter

Often treated as a bit of a weak character in The Boys, The Deep is somewhat underrated. Acting as a parody of the DC superhero, Aquaman, The Deep can breathe underwater and communicate with sea animals. Considering the Earth is mostly made up of water, The Deep is technically quite a powerful character but is hindered by the main action almost always occurring on land. Instead, The Deep has to rely on his super-enhanced physique more than his special abilities.

After making a comeback to The Seven, The Deep has become devoted to Homelander and now kills without hesitation.

The Deep has had an unstable history as one of The Seven, having manipulated Starlight and then briefly taken a sabbatical in a quest for redemption. His insecurities and “weak” mindset would have made him a likely character to die in The Boys season 5. However, after making a comeback to The Seven, The Deep has become devoted to Homelander and now kills without hesitation. His unwavering loyalty and newfound determination make The Deep a much scarier personality than in previous seasons.

8 Firecracker

The PR Team

The Boys season 4 introduced a bunch of new supes with different powers, including the charismatic America-loving Firecracker, who earns Homelander’s trust. In terms of physical power, surprisingly, Firecracker ranks as one of the weakest in Homelander’s army. Despite having superhuman strength and durability, her special ability of spark generation leaves much to be desired, but Firecracker possesses other talents.

While she can hold her own against Starlight and Kimiko, Firecracker’s lack of significant power means she is at a disadvantage in combat against high-level supes. Furthermore, her use of drugs to make her lactate to satisfy Homelander’s Oedipus complex is steadily worsening her health. With a lack of combat skills, Firecracker’s main power instead comes from her charming personality and ability to influence the masses. This ability gained Homelander a lot of support in season 4 and helped him gain his newfound government powers, making her a powerful member of Homelander’s army in a different way.

7 Cate Dunlap

The Manipulator

As one of the main antagonists in The Boys spinoff series, Gen V, Cate Dunlap quickly caught the attention of Homelander. Despite presenting herself as a kind person, Cate harbors a lot of hate for human parents who allowed Vought to give their children powers for profit. She is definitely a deeply flawed individual, and Cate’s powers of influencing people via touch don’t help. After being recruited by Homelander following an anti-human rampage, Cate made her first appearance in The Boys season 4 finale where she controls Frenchie, forcing him to enter a Vought Security van.

Cate Dunlap’s Abilities

  • Telepathy
  • Persuasion
  • Memory Manipulation
  • Sleep Induction
  • Superhuman Durability and Hearing
  • Regenerative Healing Factor

Cate’s abilities make her a powerful supe in Homelander’s army as she is able to get people to do whatever she wants as well as manipulate memories. This makes Cate a useful supe to have in a stealth situation, and considering she is still quite young, her abilities may only get better. Unfortunately, Cate’s powers are limited in their activation, requiring physical touch, and their excessive usage causes seizures and eye bleeding, she recently lost her hand in Gen V.

6 Black Noir II

The Method Actor

After the original Black Noir was killed by Homelander in The Boys season 3, Vought hired a supe actor to cover up his death. First appearing in “Department of Dirty Tricks,” the new Black Noir is markedly different from his predecessor as he is very talkative about his struggles to understand “the role.” In contrast, the original Black Noir was mute as a result of his injuries.

Both versions of Black Noir are played by Nathan Mitchell.

Another major difference with Black Noir II is that he secretly can fly, as well as an increased invulnerability to bullets. As a result, Black Noir II’s powers surpass those of the original, making him a formidable member of The Seven, although his narcolepsy is a significant weakness while fighting. Furthermore, although previously uncomfortable with other supes’ willingness to kill, Black Noir II fully accepts his new role in The Boys season 4 finale, even getting a “murder boner” after killing Also Ashley.

5 Sam Riordan

The Unpredictable

Sam Riordan first appeared in Gen V as a test subject of The Woods. Sam joined forces with Cate in her anti-human rampage in “Guardians of Godolkin,” earning him recognition as “The New Guardians of Godolkin” alongside Cate. After pledging his loyalty to Homelander, Sam and Cate make an appearance in The Boys season 4 finale, where he restrains Kimiko while Cate kidnaps Frenchie.

Possessing superhuman strength, durability, and hearing, Sam is one of the most resilient supes in The Boys universe, and this was shown when he effortlessly restrained Kimiko. Dr. Cardosa even asserted that Sam is even stronger than his brother Golden Boy, the top-ranked supe at Goldolkin University. However, as a result of his schizophrenia, Sam can also be quite unpredictable at times, which arguably makes his powers even more dangerous as a member of Homelander’s army.

4 Cindy

The Telekinetic

Serving as the main antagonist in The Boys season 2, episode 6, “The Bloody Doors Off,” Cindy was an interesting and rather powerful character. When her cell at the Sage Grove Center was broken open, Cindy used her telekinesis to destroy everyone’s cell doors, freeing the other patients. After being briefly knocked unconscious by Stormfront, Cindy was later seen hitchhiking on a road, and she was not seen again for a while.

The addition of telekinesis with a seemingly unlimited weight restriction means Cindy will be one to watch in season 5

However, The Boys season 4 featured the return of Cindy, who has now joined Homelander’s army. When Annie and Hughie are attempting to flee the country, Cindy drops a ship in the middle of the road, blocking their escape. While Hughie is abducted, Cindy tries to kill Annie, but she escapes. Having the typical superhuman abilities already makes Cindy an impressive supe, but the addition of telekinesis with a seemingly unlimited weight restriction means Cindy will be one to watch in season 5.

3 Sister Sage

The Brains

Although Homelander has the brawn to accomplish his goals, to truly succeed, he realizes he needs someone with brains. Homelander recruited Sister Sage in The Boys season 4 to help him plan his takeover because she is known for being the smartest person on the planet who also has a resentment of humans. According to Sister Sage, her knowledge has often been overlooked in the past, causing the death of her grandmother, and Sister Sage could potentially cure cancer and world hunger, but she claims that “humans are animals.”

Sister Sage was able to deduce Homelander had an enlarged prostate by observing his clean hands, and she discovered the cure for Stage 3 chronic lymphocytic leukemia in three days when she was a child.

Sister Sage was an important ally for Homelander in season 4, as she was able to successfully create tension between Starlight fans and help Homelander reach his desired position of power. Her incredible observation skills and knowledge of advanced areas allow her to pick up the slightest details and calculate an outcome, meaning she will continue to be crucial to Homelander’s plans in season 5. However, Sister Sage doesn’t have any combat skills or superhuman physicality (aside from her moderate regeneration), which makes her vulnerable and reliant on others for protection in Homelander’s army.

2 Soldier Boy

The Brawn

Soldier Boy was an interesting addition to The Boys season 3 due to his out-of-time personality, team betrayal, and the discovery that Homelander is his son. Soldier Boy disliked Homelander, calling him a disappointment, but he similarly expressed discontent at Butcher for being weak and trying to protect Ryan. The sequence of events that followed in season 3 led Soldier Boy to be injected with Novichok and put back into a cryogenic chamber.

If Soldier Boy did join Homelander’s army, his nuclear blasts and general superhuman abilities would make him one of the most powerful members

While there are many theories surrounding Soldier Boy’s impending return in The Boys season 5, one of the likely situations is that Soldier Boy will become a part of Homelander’s army. The last viewers saw of the character, Soldier Boy was being watched by Homelander, emphasizing the latter’s complete control over his father while he was captive. If Soldier Boy did join Homelander’s army, his nuclear blasts and general superhuman abilities would make him one of the most powerful members.
