Solo Leveling season two is currently set to have 13 episodes, and they will be available to stream on Crunchyroll upon their weekly release. The first episode aired this past Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 9:30 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST) on the streaming service. Likewise, the episode airs first in Japan but viewers can expect Solo Leveling Season 2, episode #2, titled “I Suppose You Aren’t Aware”, to premiere on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 9:30 AM Pacific Time (PT), 12:30 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST), and 5:30 PM Greenwich Mean Time on Crunchyroll.

Jinwoo’s Mentoring Raid Goes Wrong and is Trapped Inside a Red Gate

In Solo Leveling episode #13, titled "You Aren't E-Rank, Are You", Jinwoo goes to his little sister Jinah’s school to meet her teacher. The teacher asked Jinwoo to advise Han Song Yi, realizing that she is a friend of Jinah's who dropped out of school and one of the E-rank hunters recruited by Jinho to serve as his symbolic party members. Jinwoo decides to take Song Yi to a dungeon to gain experience and asks Ahn Sangmin, the White Tiger Guild’s recruiter from season 1, to let them tag along in the guided raid for their new recruits.

The party is suddenly trapped inside a Red Gate in a snowy forest, where they can’t get help or get out unless they defeat the boss or there is a dungeon break. After being attacked by intelligent iced elves, the raid party leader, Kim Chul, an A-rank, decides to split their groups and abandon the weak hunters. Jinwoo protects the three people in his group from the ice bears, and after setting up a camp, he goes to fight the remaining ice bears on his own. The episode ends with Kim Chul escaping as his group is wiped out by the elves.

Despite how easily Igris defeated the Ice Bear leader, this encounter could lead to Jinwoo's biggest challenge so far in the series, as the Ice Elves are highly intelligent and cunning creatures.

This also seems like the perfect occasion for Jinwoo to control his new power, since he realized in the episode that the Shadow soldiers consume a lot of mana, so facing a big horde of elves will put him in a tight spot. Also, Hwang Dongsoo, an S-Rank hunter, has arrived to get revenge on Sung Jinwoo for his brother, the leader of the snake group he killed in Solo Leveling episode 6.
