Below Deck Down Under: Signs Lara Rigby Is A Producer Plant (She's Too Much Drama Compared To Aesha Scott)

Lara Rigby is fan-favorite Aesha Scott's replacement on Below Deck Down Under season 3, and there are already signs that she's a producer plant made to stir up trouble.Below Deck Down Under season 3 is off to a rocky start, with Lara already butting heads with Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph on service standards onboard. The multiple floors aboard the superyacht are giving Stews Adair Werley, Brianna Duffield, and Marina Marcondes de Barros a run for their money, and Lara has struggled to maintain control.

Producer plants have run rampant on recent seasons of Below Deck Mediterranean and Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Even Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher faced producer plant accusations because of her dramatic storyline in season 5. Chef Johnathan "Jono" Shillingford and Bri Muller seemed to be obvious plants in Below Deck Mediterranean, with Chef Jono nearly poisoning a guest and Bri unable to do the laundry. Here are the signs that Lara is Below Deck Down Under's plant.

Lara Knew Chef Tzarina Before The Show

Producers Put Her In The Show To Antagonize Tzarina

Lara and Chef Tzarina revealed they had worked together previously in the Below Deck Down Under premiere. While they seemed to get along on a personal level, Chef Tzarina alluded to having trouble with her on a professional level. Adding to the confusion and producer plant accusations is the bizarre choice that Chef Tzarina and Lara made to room together for the charter season.

Lara was planted by producers to antagonize Chef Tzarina. She already had a miscommunication with the Chef and tried to take control of breakfast, which should have been Chef Tzarina's realm of expertise. Chef Tzarina is already struggling with Sous Chef Anthony Bird, so she's being stretched thin on Below Deck Down Under season 3.

Lara Falls Under The Stereotypical Chief Stew Persona

She's Overly Controlling

Lara fits the stereotype of a Chief Stew, but the best Chef Stews in the franchise have been unique. Aesha is a strong leader, but she's also goofy and fun. Chief Stew Kate Chastain was sarcastic, quippy, and no-nonsense. Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher has an amazing sense of humor. Lara nags her Stews, picks on everything they do, and doesn't seem fun or encouraging. Maybe she's just stressed because it's the first charter, but thus far, Lara seems to be the ultimate negative stereotype of a terrible boss aboard a superyacht.

Lara Is Already Stirring The Pot

She And Chef Tzarina Are Going To Have Problems

Lara and Chef Tzarina are already having problems, and it's only the first charter of the entire season. The hit Bravo series is known for exacerbating drama, but it seems like Lara was brought in to make Chef Tzarina's season difficult. She's a capable and skilled Chef, but between Lara and Sous Chef Anthony, she could have a tough season ahead on Below Deck Down Under. If Lara becomes a villain due to her relationship with Chef Tzarina, it could become more obvious that she was intentionally planted by producers.

Below Deck Down Under season 3 airs on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.
