Boruto Is Hinting At A Sudden Betrayal From One Of Its Most Interesting Characters
Chapter #19 of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga brought with it one of the most interesting revelations about the Divine Trees. As Jura and his allies waited for Matsuri and Ryu to accomplish their goals, they decided to have a conversation about the human concept of love. According to the leader, this dangerous emotion is what causes humanity to act so strangely, pushing them to protect their loved ones above all else.
This seemingly random interaction might be the series’ way of implying that someone among the Divine Trees could soon begin to feel love, with the most likely candidate being Hidari. If this becomes a reality, Sasuke’s clone could be the first of the group to betray the franchise's strongest villains ever and join Konoha, impulsed by the love he feels for Sarada and Sakura.
Boruto Hints at Hidari Betraying Jura
The Manga Puts Major Emphasis on Sasuke’s Clone
In chapter #19 of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga, during the conversation the Divine Trees had about love, Jura implied that this feeling was both a blessing and a curse for sentient beings. While the emotion helped humanity advance and become stronger, it also made them act irrationally, halting their progress. According to the leader, love was not something only humans could feel, as all living creatures could fall victim to its effects, even the Divine Trees. Although not addressed directly, Jura implied that love could be the reason why one of his lackeys would betray him in the future.
As he spoke, the manga would randomly cut to Hidari, who was listening intently to the explanation. For many fans, this was a clear sign of Sasuke’s clone being the one who would betray Jura in the future. Hidari is shown to be more curious and determined than his peers, wanting nothing more than to understand his purpose in the world. He is in touch with his emotions, even if he cannot understand them well. Due to this, he is the perfect candidate to develop feelings for a human, possibly Sakura, making him turn his back on Jura.
Sasuke’s Emotions Could Cause Jura’s Betrayal
Sakura’s Husband Is, Against All Odds, a Man Full of Love
Many Naruto fans would wrongly not consider Sasuke to be an emotional man or a good dad, as he is often seen trying to ignore his emotions. Nonetheless, he is clearly one of the most emotional and loving characters in the series. Sasuke’s quest for revenge was not motivated by pure anger and hatred for Itachi, it was fueled by the pain losing his family caused him. Becoming the Shadow Hokage and helping Konoha from the shadows was his way to atone for all the pain he caused his friends.
Moreover, abandoning his home once again to train Boruto during the ending of chapter #77 of the first half of the manga only occurred because his daughter begged him to. Sasuke might not be good at expressing his emotions, but he is undoubtedly a man full of love for others. His deep emotions have already manifested in Hidari, as proven by his strange behavior during chapter #11 when he fought Sarada. During their battle, the Divine Tree wondered what the feeling that Sasuke’s daughter made him feel was, implying that it was not native to him.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Just Confirmed It's Inspired by the Best Arc in Shonen Manga History
Boruto TBV Chapter 17 shows the clear inspiration behind the new antagonists, it's not just Naruto, but one of the best shonen series of all time.
This might be a hint of Sasuke’s love for his family slowly blossoming in Hidari. If this trend continues, the Divine Tree could be urged by his strong bond with Sarada and Sakura to change sides. As such, he would have no motive to continue supporting Jura, whose success would mean the end of humanity. Hidari could be the first of the Divine Trees to change sides and aid the shinobi on their quest to stop the Ten-Tails, Jura’s true identity.
Sakura Might Soon Become More Important Than Ever
Sasuke’s Love for His Wife Could Awaken Inside Jura
As Hidari’s dormant emotions begin to flourish, the series might begin exposing him to new stimuli that would push him toward the side of humanity. The most obvious choice to help Sasuke’s clone understand his emotions would be to have him interact with the love of his counterpart's life, Sakura. Seeing Sarada was enough to make him feel love for the girl, albeit without his understanding. The devotion the Uchiha feels for Sakura might just be enough to help him understand Jura needs to be stopped, at least to keep Sasuke's family safe.
Soon, fans of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga series could see Hidari betray his allies to save Sarad and Sakura from certain death. If that happens, he could go from a side villain to a major hero, making his already interesting character much more iconic.
