How Strong The GDA's ReAnimen Are In Invincible Season 3
The GDA's ReAnimen have become major players in Invincible season 3, and here's how strong they actually are compared to the other characters in the show. After the introduction of D.A. Sinclair in Invincible season 1, fans of the comics knew that his defeat would be far from the last of Sinclair that Invincible viewers would see. This storyline has finally paid off in season 3, with Cecil now using the ReAnimen in full force. The ReAnimen have appeared several times already in Invincible season 3, and here are their powers and how strong they are.
Invincible season 3 is taking things in a unique direction, with the new batch of episodes mostly focusing on the ideological conflict between Mark Grayson and GDA Director Cecil Stedman. While Mark is completely opposed to working with criminals from the past, Cecil believes that they can rehabilitate these villains and use their skills for good. For example, Cecil brought D.A. Sinclair on to develop his ReAnimen as GDA soldiers. Mark is fully against this, with him having already destroyed countless ReAnimen throughout season 3.
How Strong The ReAnimen Actually Are In Invincible
They Are Threatening To Regular Humans
The ReAnimen have been proven to be far stronger than the average person in Invincible, with them being dangerous to regular humans. They can also hold their own against some pretty powerful characters, with them doing well against Doc Seismic and his legion of underground monsters early in season 3. While Viltrumites like Mark can tear through them, they tend to do a good job, especially considering they are built out of dead bodies.
The big problem with the ReAnimen is that they aren't very durable. If their exposed body parts are hit, they will fall apart pretty easily. Mark has no problem taking on a room full of ReAnimen, with the big obstacle being the time that it took to kill them all. ReAnimen are short-term tanks who can get a few hits in before being completely destroyed.
The ReAnimen's Real Strength Is Their Numbers, Not Their Individual Power
They Overwhelm Their Opponents
While the ReAnimen may be weak apart, they are strong together. This is why Cecil never sends one ReAnimen to do a job on their own. Instead, the ReAnimen attack in swarms, overwhelming their opponents. This proves that their strength is in their numbers, with the GDA throwing hundreds of ReAnimen at opponents in an attempt to slowly wear them down.
This is how the ReAnimen are able to beat Doc Seismic's underground monsters. The massive amount of ReAnimen that crawl over the bodies of each monster proves that they are like a swarm of ants. This is why the GDA has developed so many of them, as they know that overwhelming opponents is the only way for them to act as proper soldiers in the world of Invincible.
