Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test
Elden Ring Nightreign network test codes went out on the morning of February 11, 2025, revealing more information about the highly anticipated spinoff of From Software's hit open world RPG. Set in Elden Ring's Limgrave, Nightreign is a co-op multiplayer game for up to three players. From early previews, it sounds like a cross between a roguelike and a battle royale, with randomized enemies and bosses appearing on an ever-shrinking map that players have a limited amount of time to complete.
Beginning this weekend, fans will have the opportunity to learn a lot more about Elden Ring Nightreign when its first official network test begins. Those lucky players who received network test codes will be able to access a limited version of the game during specified network test periods. Here's how the Elden Ring Nightreign network test works, and how to get involved.

When The Nightreign Network Test Is
The Elden Ring Nightreign network test will be held across five different sessions, all throughout the weekend of February 14, 2025. All session dates and times are listed below:
- Session 1: Feb 14th, 3am to 6 am PST

Players will have to log on during one of the above sessions. If they try to join the network test at any other date or time, they'll likely be met with an error message and made to close the game. However, it is possible to join multiple sessions; there are no further restrictions on date and time.
How Long Is Nightreign's Network Test
How Much Of Nightreign Can You Actually Play?
Elden RingNightreign's network test takes place over the course of a single long weekend, ranging from three to four days, depending on where the player logs in from. Each individual network test session lasts three hours, which is plenty of time to get a few runs in. It's been estimated that a complete run of Elden Ring Nightreign lasts about 30 minutes from spawn to final boss, so players could theoretically squeeze in six matches during the network test period if they're fast and everything goes well.
During the Nightreign network test, players won't be able to design or kit out their own characters: they'll pick from one of eight pre-made heroes, each with their own unique weapons and abilities. It's unclear whether these heroes will feature in the full game, or whether they just exist to streamline the network test. Players may be able to level up these characters after each run, using the runes they gather to purchase upgrades. However, progress isn't expected to carry over from the network test into the full game.
How To Join The Network Test For Nightreign
Can You Still Sign Up For The Nightreign Network Test?
To participate, players must already have received confirmation of their selection for the Elden Ring Nightreign network test. Unfortunately, it's too late to sign up for the network test, and although some players are selling their Nightreign codes on eBay, we don't recommend actually trying to buy one. There may be a second network test down the line; anyone who's interested, but missed their chance to join the first network test, should keep an eye on FromSoft's social media channels.
Elden Ring Nightreign held an open sign-up period back in January, during which players could enter a lottery to receive a network test code. Later that month, the winners were chosen and notified via email, which instructed them to wait until February 11 for further info. That morning, selected players should have received an email with the subject line "Redeem Your Network Test Code," containing all the instructions they'll need to join the Nightreign network test.
If you were selected for the Nightreign network test, but can't find your code email, don't forget to check your spam folder. It may also have been categorized under "Promotions" with certain Gmail settings.
The email contains a redeemable code for the player's chosen platform. To redeem it on PS5, navigate to the PlayStation Store, select the player's profile, and choose "Redeem code" from the dropdown menu, then enter the twelve-digit code. On Xbox, open the store, press the View button, and choose redeem, then enter the code. Unfortunately, the Nightreign network test is not available on PC - yet. This will add the Nightreign network test to the player's account; simply download it, then open it during one of the playtest sessions listed above to try out Elden Ring Nightreign.
And that's all there is to know about the Nightreign beta test. While it's too late to get involved for those who haven't already been selected, a lucky few players will get a unique chance to test out the game this weekend. The rest of the world will have to wait until later this year to play Elden Ring Nightreign.
