"Best Update So Far Hands Down": Disney Dreamlight Valley Players Are Thrilled About New Cooking QOL Updates
Disney Dreamlight Valley fans are bubbling with excitement over some upcoming cooking-related updates. The next free update, Tales of Agrabah, will arrive on February 26 and bring with it Aladdin, Jasmine, the magic carpet companion, and brand-new quest lines to complete in the desert realm.
While the community is excited about the addition of two more beloved Disney characters, it's even more elated about some quality of life changes that developer Gameloft has made to in-game cooking. Redditor witchyrosemaria shared a screen recording taken from the Dreamlight Valley update announcement, and it's the kitchen QOL updates that have gotten everyone's attention. These include some seemingly small updates that make a big difference for the player experience of the game.

Searchable Recipes, Queuing Up Cooking, And More
The original poster on Reddit is specifically excited about the addition of a search bar to the cooking menu, allowing players to locate any recipe by simply searching for it. Other cooking updates that players are excited about include:
- Sorting tabs for restaurant orders and quests to make it easier to locate tasks.
- New slow cooker allows players to queue up recipes to cook in the background while you play.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Tales Of Agrabah Update Looks Great, But Something’s Still Missing
The Tales of Agrabah update is bringing a lot of new & exciting content to Disney Dreamlight Valley, but a few notable friends are still missing.
There is already an Ancient Cooker in the game that allows players to make up to 30 recipes at a time, but this is only available to players who purchased the A Rift In Time expansion. The new slow cooker will be the first time that players can cook more than one recipe at a time without needing the DLC.
Disney Dreamlight Valley's Next Update Has A Lot In Store For Fans
More User Interface Updates Make The Game Even More Enjoyable
The cooking updates are just the start, a few other small but key UI updates arriving with the free Tales of Agrabah expansion. This includes tagging inventory items with where they're from (including the Valley and all expansions) and highlighting items that are a villager's favorite gift of the day. Both these user interface updates will save a lot of time in the long run, showing more information at a glance. The whole update is receiving praise from fans, like Westside_Wesley's comment proclaiming this to be "the best update so far hands down."
All these Disney Dreamlight Valley updates make it much easier and more enjoyable to play the game. More importantly, they show that Gameloft and Disney are listening to player feedback and taking their needs into account when they're creating new updates. The update is just the first of a series of planned expansions coming in 2025, so fans can expect to see even more improvements over the course of the year.
