The Minneapolis installment of the hit Netflix series has been a snoozefest, but there was still a bit of drama to unpack over the course of the past 12 episodes. Lauren O'Brien's ex drama rocked Dave Bettenburg's world, ultimately spelling the demise of their relationship.

Meanwhile, politics has rocked other relationships on Love Is Blind season 8, with Virginia Miller and Devin Buckley and Ben Mezzenga and Sara Carton all sparring over their values and ideological differences. Upon meeting Deepti, Shake's initial enthusiasm waned as he confessed to fellow cast members that he didn't have a physical attraction to her, likening their relationship to that of a familial connection. Such comments, made behind Deepti's back, painted him as insincere and disrespectful. His behavior during the reunion special further cemented his villain status. He openly admitted to being the season's antagonist, and doubled down on the reunion. He went on to star in House of Villains.

7 Bartise Bowden

Bartise Bowden was a walking red flag on Love Is Blind season 3, though his image has softened a bit since he became a father. Initially, Bartise formed a strong emotional connection with Nancy Rodriguez in the pods, to whom he proposed. However, upon meeting other participants face-to-face, Bartise openly admitted he was super attracted to Raven Ross while being engaged to Nancy. She deserved better than his disdain for her.

His behavior throughout was shocking, and it became obvious that Nancy dodged a bullet when he went on Perfect Match.

6 Dave Bettenburg

Dave earned himself a place on the list of worst male villains after his behavior towards Lauren on Love Is Blind season 8. Lauren was honest with Dave in Honduras, admitting that she'd been casually sleeping with someone, but that it was a friends with benefits situation, and it had ended. However, the man in question, Daniel Nides, was tangentially connected to Dave's friend group, and had a completely different story. Lauren was forced to defend her character through tears to Dave, who wouldn't introduce her to his friends or family, nor let her tell her side of the story.

Dave was looking for a way to break up with Lauren without being painted as a villain, but unfortunately for him, it didn't work out that way.

Dave was open in the pods about expecting a woman to look a certain way since he worked in medical sales. He teased Lauren that she was no longer attractive because she had turned 30, and made fun of her hair and general appearance. He showed his true colors on Love Is Blind season 8.

5 Trevor Sova

Trevor Sova started off strong in the pods on Love Is Blind season 6, cast with couples from Charlotte, North Carolina. Unfortunately for Trevor, he wasn't telling the truth. He matched with Chelsea Blackwell in the pods, but she ultimately accepted a proposal from Jimmy Presnell, who was very disappointed when Chelsea didn't look exactly like Megan Fox. She may have been better off with Trevor, who was more earnest and romantic in the pods.

However, Trevor's now-ex-girlfriend posted receipts of their relationship on Instagram, alleging that they were still in a committed relationship when he went on Love Is Blind. She further accused him of going on the show solely for clout as he was growing his fitness career. Trevor was blindsided by production at the reunion, where he endured an awkward talking-to from Vanessa Lachey.

4 Jeramey Lutinski

Jeramey Lutinski made a lot of enemies after his behavior on Love Is Blind season 6. He got engaged to Laura Dadisman in the pods, though he had a connection with Sarah Ann Bick as well. It became pretty clear after returning from the honeymoon that Jeramey and Laura weren't compatible. She looked down on him for his educational background and Hawaiian shirts. Meanwhile, he didn't seem all that attracted to her. Laura looked like she would become the "bad one" in that relationship until Jeramey made a terrible mistake.

Jeramey never admitted to anything happening with Sarah Ann before breaking off the engagement with Laura.

Jeramey met Sarah Ann at a club, staying out until 5 a.m. He left his phone in the car, but Laura was tracking Jeramey via his Apple Watch, discovering that he had gone back to Sarah Ann's apartment. While he claimed that nothing physical happened between them, Laura broke up with Jeramey, later telling him to "kick rocks with open toed shoes," an iconic line from the show. Jeramey and Sarah Ann dated after the show, though they've since broken up.

3 Stephen Richardson

Stephen Richardson seemed like a sweet, genuine person in the pods on Love Is Blind season 7, but the D.C.-based electrician quickly turned sour on the hit series. He and Monica Davis connected in the pods and seemed like they could be a cute couple, with Stephen charming Monica because of his exploration of his Nigerian roots. However, Stephen began making Monica uncomfortable with his overly sexual advances early on. The red flags were always there.

Monica discovered sexual texts between Stephen and an unknown woman after they moved into their apartment together in Washington, D.C. She described the texts as "disgusting" and immediately kicked him out. Stephen tried to redeem himself at the reunion, but the damage was already done. Stephen needed someone that matched his specific sexual kinks, and that was never going to be Monica.

2 Tyler Francis

Tyler Francis and Ashley Adionser seemed like they could be the perfect match on Love Is Blind season 7, but the D.C. couple quickly fell apart after news of Tyler's sperm donor babies broke during the season. The pair were tied together by similar values and religious beliefs, with Tyler seemingly performing as a perfectly godly man. Unfortunately for Ashley, Tyler was hiding an entire family he had with his lesbian friend. While the relationship originally began as a sperm donor situation, his friend alleged that another child was conceived naturally.

Ashley and Tyler didn't specifically say why they got divorced, but it could have something to do with his dishonesty regarding his sperm donor situation.

According to Bri Thomas, the baby mama in question, Tyler, completely ghosted her after meeting Ashley on Love Is Blind. While Ashley defended Tyler extensively online after their Love Is Blind season 7 wedding, Ashley and Tyler announced their divorce in early 2025. Tyler was dishonest with Ashley and completely blindsided her.

1 Alex Brown

Alex Brown seemed like a genuine and sweet guy on Love Is Blind season 8, but there are some serious allegations against him online. Madison is possibly better off without this guy. According to content creator @storytimewithrikkii, Alex exhibited shady behavior outside the pods. While Alex hasn't spoken up about the allegations, Rikkii claimed to have receipts.

It's important that the allegations against Alex are still coming to light and haven't been corroborated or denied by Alex himself.

The allegations are linked with his conduct at parties, and they are very serious but unproven. Texts also allegedly featured him portraying himself as a sociopath. While Alex didn't get engaged on the show, if what's been said about him is true, he may not have been the best candidate for Love Is Blind.
